Nigerian born Comedian Bright Okpocha popularly known as BasketMouth, the undisputed king of African comedy will be cracking the ribs of Ghanaians on Easter Saturday April 19, 2014 at the plush Accra International Conference Centre. The Abia State born BasketMouth will set the event on fire with his uncensored sparkling sense of humor. The Easter Comedy Jam dubbed BasketMouth Uncensored is organized by GHOne TV, the leading entertainment television network in the country with sponsorship from renowned Accra based businesses RLG mobile and ICT companies.
Organizers have promised that the Easter Comedy Jam will be a veritable “night of a thousand laughs” as BasketMouth has promised to deliver some of his outrageously funny and nerve cracking jokes which has made him one of the best Comedians from Africa and is sometimes dubbed the African “Chris Rock”.
Tickets for the highly anticipated comic event have almost sold out, an indication of the popularity of the Nigerian comic act in Ghana.
BasketMouth’s fellow Nigeria rib crackers Buchi and Bovi will also be joining him on stage as the popularity of Nigerian comic acts continue to grow in the country. Bovi knows how to resurrect all the fibers in the bodies of his audience with his wit filled jokes while Buchi makes you waning more of his jokes delivered in his inimitable style.
Guests who will attend the Easter Comedy Jam will savour the evening to home-brewed highlife and hiplife music performances by the evergreen Kwabena Kwabena, the smooth Castro and the sensational Bisa K.Dei.
After Accra Ghana on April 19 2014, the much-in-demand Basketmouth will be performing in Lagos on June 29, and will travel to the USA where he will perform on Independence day in Atlanta on July 4th and Houston on August 2nd 2014.
Basketmouth’s sellout uncensored series of performances started in Port Harcourt in Nigeria on February 9 2014 and have since been to other cities around the world from Aberdeen, Manchester, London and Johannesburg. It is now the turn of Ghanaians to get some uncensored jokes from the Nigerian funnyman and his funny friends.
Since beginning the of series of “uncensored” performances where no topic is off limits, Basketmouth has warned all attending any of the shows must be old enough to appreciate adult humour and anyone who wants to watch the clips online must have parental guidance.
