The first ever Miss Bronze Scholarship pageant launch will take place at the Marriot Hotel in the idyllic seaside resort town of Portsmouth on Saturday October 19 2013. Winners will be revealed during eight days of live selection between October 18-25 2014.
According to Esther Enaw CEO and founder of the pageant, the black tie, red carpet occasion launch is the first stage on the one year long process of identifying and selecting Black African/Caribbean and African Indian women for their brains and intelligence and not just their beauty.
On how Miss Bronze scholarship pageant is different from others, Esther Enaw says “our Scholarship pageant is not only about the physical beauty of a woman. The concept I use looks more into the inner beauty and brains of a woman. In a majority of beauty pageants, contestants are restricted by size, are judged through several stages of competition most of them about their physical attributes like their eyes, smile, beauty, glamour, etc.
In the case of Miss Bronze, there are no restrictions in size nor height as long as you have the mind to transform yourself from one level to another
Portsmouth Lord Mayor Lynne Stagg and the Deputy Lady Mayoress Mrs Ann Taulbut are two of the high profile personalities who will be attending the pageant to help celebrate black history month in style.
The organization includes among others Mrs Victorine Ndikum, Mrs Theodora Ibekwe-Oyebade
