The Philippines government is still grappling with the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan which left almost 11 million people in the mostly impoverished country in need of basic items like food, water and shelter.
Cameroonian journalist Ange Ngu Thomas did not evacuate from Iloilo City situated in the Western Visayas region, like his wife and two children. He is still counting the cost of the destruction the typhoon brought to him and millions of other people
He sent us this picture gallery of the effects of the typhoon which some conservative estimates claim left more than 10.000 people dead and thousands of people homeless.
