St Joseph’s College Sasse in Buea, South Western Cameroon celebrates its 75th anniversary in December this year. Some of the most prominent academics, doctors, engineers and other professionals in and out of the country, studied inside the stone walls of Sasse.
Some of the school buildings, including the main block are iconic structures that should and must be maintained for posterity. However, the dormitories and most other structures in the college are no longer fit for purpose. In an interview with Iroko Magazine shortly after his elections as new SOBA national president, Prof Ephraim Ngwafor acknowledged that the school does need some new and modern structures.
