What's the difference between 6 and 10? And what if we classified FGM and Fight Against Malaria under Health and Wildlife Protection under Environment, and so on?

60 pages i think will be ok

for the dummy though, we just need 20 pages. we cant do all 60.
I am working with someone here who will try we get some local agencies to also take out ads for the mag so will tell u how many pages that eventually comes to

any suggestion for a possible editor will be welcome

evidently

u need to devote 2 pages on the following topic

1 wildlife protection
2 FGM
3 Witchcraft
4 Fight against malaria
5 African fashion
6 African music
7 African literature
8 Technology
9 Business
10 music

That already is 20 pages

probably the other 42 pages will be generic news but feel free to add any stuff you like

a dummy technically means u name some of the stories the mag will carry

for starters

1 Wildlife protection will handle Ofir Drori. I will ask him to support the project with say $1000 so we will do loads of stories about his LAGA project

can u help me do this?

advice from a seasoned journalists

The best way is to do a dummy with an outline of what will be the stories in the first edition and the rates. The dummy will look like the final copy so someone can feel and touch it. That makes it easy....when talking to them. I can also show some of the Ad companies who send us spots

Dear Francis,
Greetings once again. Find attached an entertainment article with only two pix. I could have sent more but as you know, I'm still handicapped by lack of a camera. Hope you make do with the pix that are handy. I should be able to do great things if I had a camera.
Thanks for the info about the publication of prof Asonganyi's article already in the journal.
For the advertisement, I will try to contact those I can and get back to you. You know I'm in Abuja and most companies that are likely to consider advertising are in Lagos. Travelling there is a little difficult for now, and I won't see phone calls the best way of contacting people for serious issues like this. However, I will try.
Looks like you are no longer considering travelling home as you said. Any change of
mind?

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks francis

Cameroon journal in th US published this the same day prof released it so no reason for us to
republish

Did my interview finally get published ?

I'm thinking of publishing a print version of Iroko in January buy will only do that if I have enough advertisement to cover the cost. Any possibility of contacting companies there that might give adverts? Tell me ur thoughts about that

Plz plz plz can u kindly start filing entertainment news of musicians, writers etc ?

Statistics indicate we get more hits with that but we still need the politics but more of entertainment news plz

Thanks as always

Dear Francis,
Sorry for my absence. Was away as I said in a mail.
Here's another article from Prof Asonganyi. I don't know why he has not replied my many mails to him. But that should not stop us from publishing.
I tried to skype you but you rejected my call. Hope all's well.
Frank

I am travelling out of Abuja morrow Saturday for a cousin's wedding to return only next week. You may have to keep the story till I beef it up or redo it from a fresh angle. I understand, but also understand my crowdedness.
Cheers

Francis

I treally dont know how to tell you this again

It is always always good when u look for a personal angle to tell a story

This child marriage thing started more than a week ago.
u sent a story yesterday with no personal details, just nothing.
what about the story of the child bribde from egypt the senator is accused to have married?
arethere other child brides in Nigeria u could have talked to?
this will move a story forward
kai, u dey still report like sey u dey write for Herald

always always look for a fresh angle esepcially when ur telling a story more than a week after it roke

to do this story, I will need to do loads of research whioch can never beat what u have on the field, immeditate soources to talk to

sometimes u dont need to even leave ur office. ur supposed to have contacts and sources that will point u out some child brides u can talk to and do a more humane story
I tried calling u but ur line is not going through

anyway, plz make my work less difficult bc I am really really strainning

I know we r not getting anything now but rest assured we will. to get to that stage, we need to work our asses off now

nothing good comes easily

help make my work less difficult my brother
